How to Choose a Reliable USB Cable!

Currently, there are three primary types of mobile phone data cable connectors: Micro USB, USB Type-C, and the Lightning connector for iOS devices. However, Micro USB connectors are less common on smartphones and are more frequently found on digital products like massage devices, speakers, Bluetooth headphones, and dashcams.
I. How to Choose
1. Check the Outer Shell Material
Common materials for USB cable outer shells include PVC, TPE, and braided nylon.
Before purchasing, check the specifications and product details for the cable's inner core material. Tin-plated copper, aluminum-magnesium alloy wire, enameled wire, copper wire, and copper foil wire are superior options.
The thicker the inner core, the higher the current it can carry, enabling faster charging. Prioritize pure copper cores, as their lower resistance enhances charging efficiency. Products labeled with “Lightning Fast Charging” typically feature pure copper cores.
3. Transfer Speed
USB 3.0 ports theoretically support transfer speeds up to 500MB/s. USB 3.1 ports reach 1000MB/s. Avoid purchasing cables for ports below USB 3.0 specifications.
4. Selecting Length and Thickness
  Excessively long cables can degrade data transfer rates and charging efficiency. Unless necessary, avoid purchasing overly long cables. Additionally, thicker cables with non-reflective surfaces offer greater tensile strength, enhanced elasticity, and better resistance to aging, providing superior protection for the internal core.
5. Consider the Brand
 Avoid excessively cheap cables, as they may cause issues like slow charging and phone overheating mentioned earlier. In severe cases, they could lead to battery swelling or port leakage.
6. Check the Solder Joints
  Currently, USB cables employ two primary soldering methods: manual soldering and machine soldering. The tighter the connection between the connector and the wires, the greater the cable's compression resistance and overall quality.
